Join us at Shell Ring Brewery on SATURDAY January 10th at 2:00pm for the Fifth Annual Beer Mile!!! Your race entry will include a t-shirt and 4 Beers which will be consumed during the event. 100% of the annual proceeds are donated to charity and this year the fund raised will be going to CAPA. This event is limited to 125 participants and shirt sizes are guaranteed for the first 100 or 1/3/26.
WHAT IS CAPA?
The Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is a local non-profit organization, incorporated in 1981. CAPAs annual budget is $1.4 million with the Open Arms Childrens Home representing almost half of the total expenses. Funding comes from fee for service, public grants, private grants, and grass-roots fundraising. CAPA offers community and school-based Outreach Programs, safe sleep education, home visitation, and foster care. This year's event is a fund raiser for "Dancing With Our Stars" Teams: Deanna Simpson, Greg Godfrey, John Hazel and Nick Borreggine!
WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE RACE?
Every runner will (at their own pace) drink a beer and then run a quarter of a mile around the beautiful Shell Ring Brewery. When the first lap is completed you will consume (at your own pace) another beer and then run another quarter mile. All together each participant will drink 4 beer and run 4 laps around Shell Ring for a total of 1-Mile.
PACKET PICK UP:
You can begin picking up your T-Shirts and Bibs at 1:00pm on SATURDAY January 10th at Shell Ring Brewery. All participants are required to check in with a valid ID. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR ID, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE. All Participants should be checked in by no later than 1:45pm as the race will begin promptly at 2:00pm.
