Join us at the 3rd Annual Silva Strong Superhero 5K Run & 2 Mile Walk! The event will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 and will begin at Rojas-Pierce Park. It will feature a 5K run and 2 Mile walk around the Western area of the City of Mendota.
This event is being held in honor and memory of the late Mayor Robert Silva, who dedicated a majority of his life to public service to the Mendota community and was instrumental in the realization of key projects and movements in the community, the Central Valley, and throughout the State of California.
All event proceeds benefit the Mendota Community Corporation (MCC), a 501(c)3 organization, of which Mayor Silva was the founding Chairperson. The MCC is dedicated to conducting and facilitating programs and activities that will improve the quality of life of the residents of the City of Mendota, specifically the youth, by supporting the educational, extracurricular activities, and general welfare needs of the community. The MCC holds charity events and fundraisers to support its scholarships and programs.
