This exciting event offers both virtual and in-person participation, ensuring everyone can join in the fight against breast cancer. Whether you prefer to jog, run, dance, bike, or even do yoga in your own neighborhood, the virtual option allows you to choose your own distance and location throughout the month.
For those who love the camaraderie of a group, the in-person walk kicks off on October 11th at the Pavilion on the Village Green, with registration starting at 8:30 AM. Participants will enjoy a warm-up before embarking on a scenic 2-5k walk that takes you from the Village Green to the Waterfront Boardwalk and back. With an early registration fee of just $35, you can support the men and women affected by breast cancer in the Southern Maryland Tri-County area. Don’t forget to show your pink spirit! The first 75 registrants will receive a commemorative Sisters at Heart T-shirt, medal, and lanyard. Let’s walk together to make a difference this October!

WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL EVENT?
A Virtual Event can be ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE -something Physical done ANYWHERE or ANYTIME during the month of October
It can be done in your neighborhood, at your favorite local trail or park, at your office during quick lunch breaks, or wherever you feel safe and motivated to complete your event
Some examples of virtual participation include jogging, running, dancing, skating, biking, paddle boarding, yoga, Tai Chi, etc.

WHAT IS THE IN-PERSON WALK?
This In-Person Walk features a gathering of friends and family walking together to bring awareness to breast cancer
The walk will begin on October 11th at the Pavillion on the Village Green
Registration starts at 8:30 am
Following a fitness warmup, the walk will begin on the Village Green, then proceed to the Waterfront Boardwalk, and will end back at the Village Green
This is a 2-5k walk
