Join us for the 21st Annual Sisters at Heart Breast Cancer Walk, taking place in Indian Head, Charles, from September 1 to October 31, 2026! This uplifting event combines both in-person and virtual participation, allowing everyone to contribute in a way that suits them best. The in-person walk is scheduled for October 24, starting at 8:30 AM at the Pavilion on the Village Green. Participants will enjoy a scenic 2-5k route that includes a warm-up session and a delightful stroll along the Waterfront Boardwalk, culminating back at the Village Green.
For those opting for the virtual experience, you can choose any activity that inspires you throughout the month of October—whether it’s jogging, dancing, biking, or practicing yoga in your neighborhood, park, or even during your lunch break. Registration opens on September 1, with a fee of $40, and the first 75 registrants will receive a commemorative Sisters at Heart T-shirt! Show us your pink and share your journey on social media to raise awareness and support for those affected by breast cancer in the Southern Maryland Tri-County area. Let’s walk together to make a difference!

WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL EVENT?
A VIRTUAL EVENT can be ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE -something Physical done ANYWHERE or ANYTIME during the month of October
It can be done in your neighborhood, at your favorite local trail or park, at your office during quick lunch breaks, or wherever you feel safe and motivated to complete your event
Some examples of virtual participation include jogging, running, dancing, skating, biking, paddle boarding, yoga, Tai Chi, etc.

WHAT IS THE IN-PERSON WALK?
This IN-PERSON WALK features a gathering of friends and family walking together to bring awareness to breast cancer
The walk will begin OCTOBER 24TH at the Pavillion on the Village Green
Registration starts at 8:30 AM
Following a fitness warmup, the walk will begin on the Village Green, then proceed to the Waterfront Boardwalk, and will end back at the Village Green
This is a 2-5k walk
**EARLY REGISTRATION STARTS SEPTEMBER 1, 2026.
REGISTRATION FEE IS $40 / PERSON WHETHER YOU PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON**
THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE WITH US VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON
