Join us for the inspiring Skate4Grant's Grief Challenge Run on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, in the beautiful surroundings of Ashby, Otter Tail, at Seven Sisters Prairie. This heartfelt event invites participants to run or walk in memory of loved ones, creating a supportive community atmosphere filled with love and remembrance.
Choose your adventure with two distance options: the 5K route, featuring a picturesque 1.5-mile stretch along gently rolling gravel roads, or the 5-mile route that offers stunning views of Lake Christina and a mix of flat and hilly terrain. Whether you prefer to join us in person or participate in spirit from wherever you are, your dedication will be celebrated. Registration is just $25, which includes a commemorative hat, and you have the chance to win a gift card if you register by August 1st!

GRIEF CHALLENGE RUN | SATURDAY AUGUST 8TH, 2026, SEVEN SISTERS PRAIRIE | ASHBY, MN | 8:00 AM
Last year, something quietly extraordinary happened along the gravel roads surrounding Seven Sisters Prairie, as a community showed up to run or walk in memory of the ones no longer with us. On Saturday, August 8th, we're doing it again: come run or walk with us, in person or in spirit, and submit a name and photo to honor along the course and on your bib.
Choose your route:
* 5K ROUTE: 1.5 miles along gravel roads with a few gentle hills, then return on the same trail to complete the 3.2 miles. Totally walkable, and walking is more than welcome!
* 5-MILE ROUTE: a 1.2-mile stretch of level ground along Highway 78 with an up-close view of Lake Christina, followed by 4 miles of gravel roads with some rolling hills along the way. Every hill can be walked at your own pace.
* IN-SPIRIT ROUTES: if you can't make the race, choose from a 5K or 5-mile route wherever you are and run or walk with us in-spirit; we'd still love to honor your loved ones and will share them along our route as a tribute (we'll be sure to share pictures with you!).
$25 REGISTRATION INCLUDES A HAT (REGISTER BY AUGUST 1ST TO BE ENTERED TO WIN A GIFT CARD).
Don't let the hills scare you! They're all easily walkable and part of the scenery. We promise crystal-clear signage, mile markers, and easy-to-follow routes mean you can focus on what actually matters: the experience.
We'd love to have you back. Or for the first time. Come remember, come heal, come make a difference.
