Organiser's Description

The Smelter City Scamper will occur on Saturday August 9 as part of Anaconda's Smeltermen's Day Celebration. The Scamper consists of a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon that will require pre-registration, as well as a one block sprint designed for children 8 and under that is free of charge. All runs will start and end in the Kennedy Commons. Immediately following the race there will be a Brewfest occurring in the Kennedy Commons that will be hosted by Discover Anaconda as a part of the weekend-long festival. Multiple food trucks and coffee trucks will be set up where runners can refuel.

The Scamper is being hosted by Smelter City Recreation Complex (SCRC). SCRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Anaconda, Montana. Our goal is to increase the health and wellness of our community. Find more information at: smeltercityrc.org.

    This run will start and end at the Kennedy Commons. Runners will enjoy some of the best views of Anaconda as they run through historic neighborhoods, Washoe Park, and along the "West Valley Loop" that features stunning views of the Pintler Mountains. It is a flat and fast half marathon made for setting PRs. Immediately after the race, a Brewfest will be occurring in the Kennedy Commons as a part of the weekend-long Smeltermen's Day Celebration. Food trucks and coffee trucks will also be available where runners can refuel.

Food trucks and coffee trucks will also be available where runners can refuel.
