The official run starts at 6 PM, offering a symbolic crossing from Illinois to Missouri as the sun sets over the Mississippi River. This unique 6.6K distance represents the long journey of Route 66, honoring both the history of the road and the struggles faced by families dealing with ALS. Welcome to Stop18, the final chapter of the SolidaritySidekickDownRoute66 series a 6.6K run/walk at the historic OldChainofRocksBridge, the symbolic gateway between Illinois and Missouri. This is where our statewide journey meets the Mississippi River, where the sun sets over two states, and where we send EnricCasacuberta onward into the next leg of his solo Route66 run for ALS awareness.

This bridge is one of the most breathtaking landmarks on the entire MotherRoad a milelong span with its famous midriver bend, towering trusses, and panoramic views of the river below. Its the perfect place to celebrate everything this series stands for: endurance, solidarity, and the shared spirit of the road.
