Join us for the vibrant Southern Fauquier Ruritan 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the picturesque Southern Heritage Farm in Midland, Fauquier. This exciting event offers participants a chance to traverse 3.12 miles of scenic wooded trails, complete with charming sights of bridges, horses, chickens, and cows. Whether you’re running or walking, everyone is welcome to experience the thrill of the race, which kicks off at 10:15 AM sharp, rain or shine!
As you navigate the course, you'll find 2-3 water stations to keep you hydrated. Don’t worry about a little mud if the weather turns—this could transform your run into a fun cross-country adventure! All participants will receive a finisher's medal, a t-shirt, and a goodie bag, plus a token for a delicious burger or hotdog at Brock's Bistro. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place male and female runners, adding an extra layer of excitement to this community event. Bring your friends, family, and even your leashed dogs for a memorable day filled with fun and fitness!

COME OUT AND ENJOY OUR SECOND ANNUAL 5K AROUND THE SCENIC PROPERTY OF SOUTHERN HERITAGE FARM ORGANIZED BY SOUTHERN FAUQUIER RURITAN CLUB!
3.12 MILES OF WOODED TRAILS, BRIDGES, HORSES, CHICKENS, AND COWS! 2-3 WATER STATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE COURSE. WE WILL HOLD THIS RACE RAIN OR SHINE! PLEASE NOTE: IF IT RAINS BEFORE OR DURING THE RACE THE TRAIL WILL BE MUDDY AND SLIPPERY, ESSENTIALLY TURNING INTO A CROSS COUNTRY/ MUD RUN.
ALL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A FINISHERS MEDAL, T- SHIRT AND GOODIE BAG AS WELL AS A TOKEN FOR A BURGER/ HOTDOG AT "BROCK'S BISTRO"!

CLOSED2-3 water stations will be provided throughout the course. All participants receive a finishers medal and goodie bag. We will have the race rain or shine! Walkers are welcome to attend as well as leashed dogs! Strollers are not recommended due to unevenness of trails. Please keep in mind this is a TRAIL run/ walk so mind your footing and expect to get a bit muddy! Same day registration is still online!
