This thrilling 24-hour endurance run invites participants to challenge themselves on a 4-mile loop with a rewarding elevation gain, all while supporting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Whether you're running, walking, or jogging, every mile counts in honoring the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes.

The race kicks off at 8 am on June 6th and concludes at 8 am on June 7th, with overnight camping available starting at 4 pm on June 5th. Participants can compete for the coveted Start/Finish Banner trophy by logging the longest distanceβ€”last year’s winner completed an impressive 60 miles! With aid stations providing free water and electrolytes along the route, you’ll be well-equipped to push your limits. Don’t miss this chance to be part of an inspiring community event that supports families of fallen Special Operations personnel. Register by May 22nd to secure your bib and join us in making a difference!

Organiser's Description

Special Operations Warrior Foundation: Donate to SOWF [https://specialops.org/run-for-sowf/]

Our mission is driven by a desire to honor the sacrifice made in service to our country by providing cradle to career educational support to children of fallen Special Operations Personnel and spouses as well as all Medal of Honor Recipients. From a battlefield promise made in 1980, the SOWF program has grown to include immediate financial support to severely wounded, injured, and ill Special Operators. By providing this support, SOWF aims to help these families build brighter futures despite the challenges they face due to the loss of a loved one.

Registration will be open every day till the event. However, to guarantee you get a bib that tracks your distance and time, you need to sign up before _MAY 22ND_. Sign-ups that are day of or without a bib can still compete for the win and have their distance measured for the overall miles completed during the event as long as you have an app that tracks your mileage.

The Event:

What: 24-HR Endurance run, walk, jog! This 4 mile loop, featuring a 200 ft. elevation gain at Boat Hill and ~300 ft. for one completed loop. Challenge your will and ability! Will you be the first person to finish 100 miles in 24hrs? While this race will be held for the full 24 hrs., any distance from all participants will be recorded to show their input and dedication to supporting SOWF for the total miles completed by all participants at the end of the event. Need an incentive to compete, the one who runs the longest distance will receive the Start/Finish Banner as a trophy. Last year, first place ran away with banner finishing 60 miles.

When: 5th - 7th June, run starts @ 8 am on the 6th and will end @ 8 am the 7th. Overnight camping can start at 4pm on the 5th. Payment for camping will be taken care of at the airstrip.
