By participating in this event, you'll contribute to the vital work of March of Dimes, helping to ensure that every family gets the best possible start. Children under 12 can enjoy discounted registration, and every little superhero will receive a cape to wear during the festivities! Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day. EACH YEAR, ONE WOMAN DIES EVERY 12 HOURS FROM PREGNANCY-RELATED CAUSES, AND 1 IN 9 BABIES IN SOUTH CAROLINA IS BORN TOO SOON. WITH YOUR HELP, WE CAN CHANGE THAT. WE ARE FOCUSED ON ONE THING: HELPING MORE MOMS AND BABIES BE HEALTHY AND STRONG. OUR ANNUAL MARCH FOR BABIES AND RUN FOR BABIES CAMPAIGNS ARE OUR LARGEST WEAPON AGAINST THE HEARTACHES THAT EXIST IN MATERNAL AND INFANT HEALTH. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A DAY WHERE EVERY MOM AND BABY IS HEALTHY REGARDLESS OF WEALTH, RACE, GEOGRAPHY, OR RACE. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN. WE WILL ALSO HAVE A STROLLER DECORATING AREA FOR YOU! THE 5K RACE WILL BEGIN AT 9:00AM BEFORE OUR MARCH FOR BABIES WALKERS AND TAKE YOU AROUND DUNCAN PARK IN SPARTANBURG.
