Get ready for an exciting spring season with the 2026 Greencastle Flyers Youth Track & Field Club! Kicking off on Monday, March 30th, 2026, at the Kaley Field Track Complex in Greencastle, Franklin, this invigorating program runs every Monday evening from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM until April 27th. Designed for children in grades 1 through 6, this four-week session offers a fantastic introduction to the dynamic world of track and field.
Participants will engage in a variety of activities, including hurdles, relays, throws, sprints, jumps, and distance running, all aimed at enhancing strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, speed, and agility. For just $40, young athletes will not only develop essential skills but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for the sport. Additionally, club members will have the opportunity to compete in local track and field or cross country events on alternate evenings throughout late spring and summer. Join us for a fun-filled season of athleticism and camaraderie!

OUR MISSION:
OUR SPRING CLUB IS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE CHILDREN PRESENTLY IN GRADES 1ST - 6TH TO THE SPORT OF TRACK AND FIELD. EVENT SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION FOR HURDLES, RELAYS, THROWS, SPRINTS, JUMPS AND DISTANCE RUNNING WILL BE COVERED DURING OUR 4 WEEK SESSION. OVERALL STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY, CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE, SPEED AND AGILITY WILL BE INCREASED THROUGH DRILLS AND APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES.
OUR CLUB ATHLETES WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL TRACK & FIELD OR CROSS COUNTRY EVENTS ON ALTERNATE EVENINGS DURING THE WEEK THROUGHOUT LATE SPRING AND SUMMER. ALL ATHLETES WILL GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION FOR THE SPORT OF TRACK & FIELD.
