We welcome you to join us for the Eighth Annual St. Louis Cougar Chase 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run. The race features professional timing and offers prizes to the top competitors, so start your training now! This event is paired up with Breakfast with Santa (starting ~8:30a) again this year, so after you run you can fill up on pancakes and help build our St Louis Parish and School Community.
Fees for the 5K are only $15 and kids age 8 and under can enter the untimed Kids Race for free!
Packet Pickup:
We will pass out race bags and shirts (shirts ordered separately of registration) the Friday before the race to SLCS families. These will be given with your child before pickup. We will also have morning-of packet pickup starting at 7:30 before the race.
Awards:
Overall Male and Female Prizes as well as Age/School Grade based prizes will be handed out this year.
What Are We Racing For?
We had incredible success the last two years raising funds for the installation of a long jump runway and landing sandpit(s) to further improve the Track & Field Facilities and Equipment on the SLCS campus --- planning and contracts now underway! With funds raised from previous years we were able to install a shot put & discus pad with cage, and purchased a high jump landing pad. This year we are excited to further support the development of our Cougar Athletics Facilities.

This will be just 1 loop around the campus course and will help to bridge the gap between the 400meter Chase-the-Cougar on the Track, for the 5yo to 8yo who want to gain experience and confidence in a race before doing the whole 5K. -
