Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 27, and be part of a meaningful journey through St. Louis, connecting two exciting events that highlight the power of active transportation, love for our surroundings, and community progress.
Well kick off at the Wellston Metro Station, riding along the beautiful St. Vincent Greenway to Gwen Giles Park, where well celebrate the groundbreaking of the transformative Hodiamont Greenway. After the ceremony, well continue our ride to Forest Park for the Earth Day Festival, a vibrant celebration of sustainability and environmental action.

12:30 PM: Registration opens at Wellston Metro Station
1:30 PM: Ride begins to Gwen Giles Park
200 PM: Hodiamont Greenway Groundbreaking Celebration at Gwen Giles Park
330 PM: Ride to Forest Park
300 PM: Earth Day Festival in Forest Park
530 PM: Return ride to Wellston Metro Station
This ride embodies Trailnets mission of fostering safe, connected streets and encouraging active lifestyles. Its the perfect opportunity to explore your community by bike, celebrate new developments, and engage with events that inspire sustainability and connection.
Bring your bike, your friends, and your enthusiasmwell provide the route, the camaraderie, and a chance to make a difference!
This ride is supported in part by Great Rivers Greenway through their Gateway Bike Plan initiative.
Registration is FREE. All ages are welcome, but children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Must be able to ride a bike without training wheels at a moderate pace (8 - 10 mph). Class 1 & 2 e-bikes are welcome. No scooters.
Please carry at least one bottle of water and wear a helmet. We will have a technician present for minor technical issues, but it is best to be prepared with extra tires and a charged cell phone. It is good practice to do a quick safety check on your bike before any ride. Check out this video for instructions on how to perform ABC quick check.
