Event summary
The triathlon features a variety of race formats, including the traditional individual sprint, a three-person relay team option, and two exciting additional events: Aquavelo (swim/bike) and Duathlon (run/bike/run). Athletes will kick off the competition in the YMCA's six-lane, 25-meter pool, followed by a scenic bike ride and run through the beautiful tree-lined neighborhoods and farmland of Waynesboro. Come be part of this fantastic celebration of fitness and community!
Organiser's Description
The triathlon course can be completed as an individual or as part of a three person relay team. Athletes of all levels are encouraged to compete experienced cross trainers, families as well as first time competitors.
The triathlon start, swim, transition area and finish are located at the Y. The swim portion of the event is held in the Ys six-lane, 25meter pool; the bike and run routes will take athletes through tree lined neighborhoods and farmland throughout Waynesboro.
Were also excited to offer two additional race day events: Aquavelo (swim/bike) and Duathlon (run/bike/run).
