Get ready for an exciting day of fitness and fun at the Sturgeon Shuffle 2025! On Saturday, May 3, 2025, join us in New London, Waupaca, where the Sturgeon Shuffle will kick off from the New London Middle School. Participants can choose between two invigorating race distances: the competitive 10K run starting at 8:00 AM, or the family-friendly 5K run/walk starting shortly after at 8:15 AM.
This event promises a scenic out-and-back course along the picturesque Wolf River, perfect for athletes of all levels. Not only will you be engaging in a fantastic fitness challenge, but you'll also be supporting local initiatives as proceeds benefit crucial backpack programs aimed at fighting hunger in our community. Plus, this year, furry friends are welcome to join the fun on a leash! Gather your friends, family, and teammates to compete for additional awards in the "TEAM Competition." Lace up your shoes for a day filled with energy, community spirit, and the joy of giving back!

Join us for the Sturgeon Shuffle 2025! Presented by First State Bank, the Sturgeon Shuffle is a family-friendly 5K walk/run and a 10K competitive road run open to all levels of athletes. Named after the spring sturgeon run(spawning season), both events kick off from New London Middle School and are fully chip-timed (start and finish), taking participants on an out-and-back course on County Highway X along New Londons beautiful Wolf River.
Proceeds raised from the Shuffle will benefit backpack programs in our community and region including: Project Backpack New London [https://www.facebook.com/Project-Backpack-New-London-411114562316818/], Project Backpack Waupaca [https://thelakeswaupaca.com/project-backpack] (serving Waupaca, Manawa, Weyauwega-Fremont, Iola-Scandinavia, and Amherst school districts), and the Compassionate Connections Center [https://www.compassionateconnect.com/] Nutrition Mission in Clintonville. These organizations are working hard to stamp out hunger in our schools.

New London has informed us dogs (on a leash) are now permitted to join runners & walkers on the Sturgeon Shuffle course this year!
There will be a "TEAM Competition" for which additional awards will be offered to the Top Team (Overall time/place for the top 3 participants)!
