Welcome to the 11th Annual Bernalillo County Sugar Skull Fun Run!

Get ready to walk, jog, strut and stroll at this years Sugar Skull Fun Run, taking place on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.



LOCATION:

Along the scenic Tingley Drive between Central Ave and 8th Street.



PARKING:

Parking is VERY limited and carpool/rideshare is highly encouraged.

Free parking will be located at the ABQ BioPark Aquarium (2601 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104). Approximately a 7 minute walk to start line.

Additional parking is offered at the Monte Carlo Steakhouse (3916 Central Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105). Approximately an 11 minute walk to start line.

Complimentary shuttle service to the race venue will be available at both parking locations. The shuttle service will be available from 7:15 a.m. 12:15 p.m.



RACE DETAILS:

Participants can select from a timed 5K event for runners and walkers and an untimed one-mile strut and stroll for strollers and pets. Whether you are walking, jogging or running your way to the finish line, we look forward to cheering you on in your D'ia de los Muertos attire!

5k Fun Run begins at 8:00 a.m., with a warm-up led by Desert Lotus beginning at 7:45 a.m.

One Mile Strut and Stroll begins at 9:00 a.m.

Children ages five years and younger may participate for FREE - no registration required. Race shirts for this category will be available for purchase during registration until Sept. 19.

Participants who register after Sept. 19 will not be guaranteed preferred shirt size. _Race shirts run large. Exchanges will not be available. _

Pets are welcome for the one-mile strut and stroll.

Food trucks and the Muerto Market are open to the public.
