The event includes a free kids race for children aged 8 and younger, making it a perfect family outing. Competitive participants can aim for accolades, with plaques awarded to the overall male and female winners in the 1-mile race and top finishers in the 5K. Medals will also be given to the top three finishers in 11 different age categories. Be sure to register by June 14 to guarantee your event t-shirt, as supplies will be limited after that date. Organiser's Description
The Sully Freedom Fun Run/Walk is an annual event that takes place in Sully on July 4, 2026 marking the 31st year. There is a 1 mile and 5k race through the relatively flat and tree lined streets of Sully. There is also a free kids race for those 8 years and younger. In the 1 mile race, plaques are awarded to the overall male and female winners. In the 5k race, the top 3 males and top 3 females receive plaques, while the top 3 finishers in 11 different age categories receive medals. We encourage runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in our event. T-SHIRT IS GUARANTEED WHEN REGISTERED BY JUNE 14. After June 14 registration, t-shirts will be on a first-come, first-serve basis with t-shirt and sizes not guaranteed. Participants are encouraged to park at Sully Reformed Church on race day.
