Get ready to unleash your inner superhero at the Superhero 5K and Kids' Runs benefiting the ChildSafe Center - CAC on Saturday, April 12, 2025! This exciting event takes place in Winchester, Frederick, and promises a fantastic day for the entire family. Participants can choose to join the Men's and Women's 5K race or walk, with no age restrictions, as well as a thrilling 1-mile race for kids aged 6-12 and a fun 100-yard "Flash Dash" for children 5 and under.
The race kicks off at Greenwood Mill Elementary School at 9:00 AM, with the Kid's Mile and 100 Yard Dash following closely behind. The course winds through a scenic residential area, providing a lovely backdrop for this inspiring event. Don’t forget to show off your superhero costume! With awards for top finishers and all mile finishers receiving completion ribbons, this is an event you won't want to miss. Registration is encouraged in advance but same-day registration will be available. Join us rain or shine to help support a noble cause and make a difference in the lives of abused children!

CALLING ALL SUPERHEROES!!!
ALL CHILDREN NEED A HERO, BUT ABUSED CHILDREN NEED A SUPERHERO.
The Superhero 5K and Kid's Run will benefit the ChildSafe Center - CAC. There's something for the whole family. Don't forget to wear your superhero costume!
* Men's and Women's 5K race and/or walk (No age restriction)
* Kid's 1 mile race (Children ages 6-12)
* 100 Yard "Flash Dash" for (Children ages 5 and under)
The race begins and ends at Greenwood Mill Elementary School with rolling hills in between. This is an open course through a residential area. All registrations close at 8:45. Check In for 5K no later than 8:45 am, Check In for 1 mile no later than 9:45 and Check In for Flash Dash no later than 10:15 am. The 5k will begin at 9:00 with the Kid's Mile and 100 Yard Dash immediately following. Course map coming soon.
Registration in advance is preferred, but same day registration is available (Cash or check). Same day registration/check in will open at 7:45 am and closes at 8:45 am. 5k Registration $30 online, $35 in person. 1 Mile and Flash Dash $10 online, $15 in person. $3 discount for members of Shenandoah Valley Runners.
Awards will be given to the top male and female overall finishers. Awards will also be given to the top male and female finishers in the Kid's Mile. All Mile finishers will receive a ribbon of completion. All 100 Yard Dash finishers will receive a ribbon of completion.
