Get ready to unleash your inner superhero at the Superhero 5K and Kids' Runs on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Winchester, Frederick! This exciting event not only promises a fun-filled day for the whole family but also supports the vital work of the ChildSafe Center - CAC, helping abused children in our community.
Participants of all ages are invited to join the action, whether you're racing in the Men's or Women's 5K (open to all ages) or cheering on the young heroes in the 1 Mile Kids' Run for ages 6-12 and the thrilling 100 Yard "Flash Dash" for little ones aged 5 and under. The race kicks off at Greenwood Mill Elementary School at 9:00 AM, with the Kids' events following shortly after. Registration opens at 7:45 AM, so be sure to arrive early! Dress in your best superhero costume for a chance to shine, and enjoy a day filled with community spirit, camaraderie, and friendly competition. Don't miss your chance to make a difference while having a blast!

ALL CHILDREN NEED A HERO, BUT ABUSED CHILDREN NEED A SUPERHERO.
The Superhero 5K and Kid's Run will benefit the ChildSafe Center - CAC. There's something for the whole family. Don't forget to wear your superhero costume!
* Men's and Women's 5K race and/or walk (No age restriction)
* Kid's 1 mile race (Children ages 6-12)
* 100 Yard "Flash Dash" for (Children ages 5 and under)
The race begins and ends at Greenwood Mill Elementary School with rolling hills in between. This is an open course through a residential area. All registrations close at 8:45. Check In for 5K no later than 8:45 am, Check In for 1 mile no later than 9:45 and Check In for Flash Dash no later than 10:15 am. The 5k will begin at 9:00 with the Kid's Mile and 100 Yard Dash immediately following.
Registration in advance is preferred, but same day registration is available (Cash or check). Same day registration/check in will open at 7:45 am and closes at 8:45 am. 5k Registration $30 online, $35 in person. 1 Mile and Flash Dash $10 online, $15 in person. $3 discount for members of Shenandoah Valley Runners.
Awards will be given to the top male and female overall finishers. Awards will also be given to the top male and female finishers in the Kid's Mile. All Mile finishers will receive a ribbon of completion. All 100 Yard Dash finishers will receive a ribbon of completion. Please stay until all races are finished for the awards presentations!
