SURFSIDE HOTEL THE BLUES ARE RUNNING 5K

             The SURFSIDE HOTEL and WICC invite you                         to the kickoff event for the
            "Greatest Bluefish Tournament on Earth"   
 
The BLUES ARE RUNNING 5K - our inagural event is hosted by the Surfside Hotel & Little Pub in the Lordship section of Stratford. Our venue overlooks Long Island Sound as does most of the course! We are not sure if there will be a BLUE Moon- but this evening run/walk will be a great one.
 
For decades people have been "Singing the blues..." but that won't happen here! It will be a great Tuesday night of fun, food & froth, followed by a scenic sunset.
 
Run or walk our beautiful 5k (3.11mi) course overlooking Long Island Sound where the actual "Greatest Bluefish Tournament On Earth" will be taking place on Saturday, August 24 & Sunday, August 25. https://www.bluefishtournament.com/ 
 
Sponsored by the SURFSIDE HOTEL & Presented by WICC and the LITTLE PUB, this event will have a strict cutoff at 250 people (but unlimited Bluefish if you decide to bring one).
Arrive early, enjoy the beach and views, run/walk or saunter our very flat and scenic out and back roads, followed by snacks & adult beverages (21 & over only). Plenty of N/a fluids available too. 
Size guaranteed classic t-shirts by 8/10 (after that 'as available'), swag, awards, and more. 
We encourage ALL abilities to join us. Everyone completing the full 5k is eligible for awards based on their computer time. First place finishers overall and in M/F age groups 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (and 80's if pre registered). Second & third place will be added based on pre-reg numbers.

           7:43pm  Sunset- but it stays light till 8:30 AND our venue is lighted!
