But that's not all! Before the main event, kids can join in the fun with the 800m "Kid's Takeoff Dash" at 4 PM, presented by the Mt. Baldy Athletics Foundation. After crossing the finish line, stick around for a fantastic post-race celebration at Mt. Baldy Brewery, featuring live music, delicious food trucks, and the finest craft beer Southern California has to offer. All participants will receive a stylish Taxiway 5K pom pom beanie and a finisher's medal to commemorate the day. The Taxiway 5K returns for its second year on Saturday, February 28, bringing runners back to one of the most unique race venues in Southern California, Cable Airport in Upland, CA.
This afternoon 5K (4:30pm start) starts and finishes in front of Mt. Baldy Brewery, taking runners on a loop around the airport with beautiful mountain views and a chance to see some of the incredible aircraft on display. After crossing the finish line, stick around at the brewery for a post-race celebration featuring live music, food trucks, and the best beer in SoCal. This year's event will also feature a 800m "Kid's Takeoff Dash" presented by the Mt. Baldy Athletics Foundation which will start at 4pm.
