This event is an excellent opportunity for cyclists to explore and reverify the routes for the upcoming Texas Chainring Massacre, set to take place on February 7. As temperatures rise and the winter chill fades, riders can look forward to a refreshing experience on the road.
Participants can choose to tackle the challenging 75-mile route, which includes a convenient resupply point at the 50-mile mark. Please note that this is a self-supported and self-navigated ride, meaning there will be no aid stations or course markings, so come prepared for an exhilarating challenge! Club Spinistry members and those registered for the Texas Chainring Massacre can join for free, while non-members can take advantage of a $125 fee that can be applied towards a Club Spinistry membership. Organiser's Description
It will be a bit warmer on Sunday and hopefully all of the ice/snow melt will be dried up by then. We are using this as our opportunity to reverify the Texas Chainring Massacre routes now scheduled for 2/7.
Please be aware that we will not know the status of these roads in advance. We don't expect any major problems but...this is why we scout.
Those who ride will be self supported and self navigated. There will NOT be aid station or course markings. There will NOT be a sag vehicle.
75 mile riders will go through the staging area again at about mile 50 which will be a good opportunity for resupply.
Free for Club Spinistry members and riders registered for the Texas Chainring Massacre (with personal coupon code). The $125 fee will be available as a coupon code towards a Club Spinistry membership for any non members who wish to join Club Spinistry.
