Spectators are in for a treat as our spirited Cheer Squad, consisting of over 500 supporters, lines the course to encourage their friends and family. The event concludes with a delightful brunch and an award ceremony recognizing the top performers in each age group. Organiser's Description
Established in 2012, the Team SBH 5K has become one of our most popular fundraisers of the year. Every summer over 800 runners ranging from age 5 to 95 sign up to run through the seaside town of Deal, located just a few miles from Long Branch, NJ. Runners of all levels compete in our 5K; our elite runners tackle the Fast and Furious race, while our signature Diaper Dash gives our youngest supporters a chance to crawl across the finish line. Our Cheer Squad of over 500 spectators cheer their family and friends along the course. The event culminates with a brunch and award ceremony for the top runners in each age group. Proceeds from this event will be used by SBH to help children in need.

Race is scored by assigning a point value for a runners finishing placement. If a runner finishes first, they will earn one point. Finishing 50th would earn 50 points THE LOWEST TEAM SCORE WINS. In the event of a tie, the team whose first-place runner has the best time is declared the winner. -
