The course features two handcrafted bridges over Hill Creek and winds through stunning landscapes filled with towering Cedar, Douglas Fir, and Spruce trees. Kick off the event with a traditional mass start at 10 AM, followed by a chance to connect with fellow participants and relish the beauty of the trails. You’ll have the choice of tackling an accurate 10K trail route or a 4-mile option, with mile markers to guide your journey. Plus, indulge in delicious muffins from Skagit Runners and warm beverages courtesy of Starbucks after the race. Organiser's Description
This run is a celebration of what Northern State has to offer with the new trails built by the Skagit Trail Builders! There is no clock, no bibs, no times (everyone but me wears a watch), and best of all NO FEE! YES, there will be the traditional mass start at 10 AM and a finish line will be there. Runners will run their pace whether it be racing, cruising, jogging, or like me lollygagging (Yes, I will be plodding along with everyone). The idea is for runners of all abilities to gather to come experience the beauty of Northern State by running over two handcrafted bridges over Hill Creek then through the towering Cedar, Douglas Fir, and Spruce trees. After the race, runners can enjoy the fellowship of those who ran with you while sharing the beauty of what you had just witnessed!
The course will be well marked. Mile markers will be in place, And yes, it is an accurate 10K trail route as well as 4 Mile route!
Skagit Runners will be bringing muffins to go along with the warm beverages provided generously by Starbucks!
