Join us for the 38th Bigelow Tea Community Challenge on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in the picturesque Southport, Greater Bridgeport! This exciting event promises a day filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit as participants come together to support local charities. Lace up your running shoes for the computer chip-timed 5K run, or take a leisurely stroll in the non-competitive 3K walk, both set against the stunning backdrop of Wakeman's Boys and Girls Club. Families can also participate in the Kids' Fun Run, featuring a 100-yard scamper, a 1-mile jog, and an obstacle course for children aged 10 and under.
Last year, the event successfully raised over $182,000 for Bridgeport and Fairfield-based charities, showcasing the incredible impact community support can have. With awards for overall champions and age group winners in the 5K, along with plenty of delicious snacks and hydration, there's something for everyone! 3K FITNESS WALK: Walk at your own pace on a non-competitive course. This event is NOT computer-timed. There are no awards for this walk.

The 3k event is not computer chip timed and there are no awards. It follows the same path as the 5k the first half mile, then separates South on Westway on its own route to the finish. All turns are well marked. -
