Join us for the 5th annual Torrance Trot 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in beautiful Torrance, Westmoreland. This exciting event aims to raise awareness and combat the stigma surrounding mental illness, benefiting the Torrance State Hospital-Patient Fund. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, this 5K offers a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, support a great cause, and promote mental health awareness.
The day kicks off with a free Kid's Fun Run for children ages 9 and under at 8:30 AM, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere filled with joy and camaraderie. All participants will receive a participation medal, and there will be plenty of activities like face painting and games to keep the energy high. With awards for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as for the top finishers in each age group, there's plenty of motivation to lace up your running shoes. Register for just $25 on race day, and don’t miss out on a chance to make a difference while enjoying a fantastic community event!

Organiser's Description
Everyone has been touched by mental illness in some way--either through our own struggle or through witnessing the struggle of a friend or family member. Please help put an end to the stigma of mental illness by joining us for the 4th _TORRANCE TROT _(benefitting the Torrance State Hospital-Patient Fund). Awards will be given to the top overall male/female finisher and top finisher in each age group.
Together, as a community, we will no longer stand for judgment and we will recognize that ALL people deserve to live their best possible
There will also be a _free_ Kid's fun run (ages 9 and under, begins at 0830) and all participants will receive a participation medal. We will have a limited amount of kid's size t-shirts available as well for $5.00. If you are interested in having your child participate in the fun run please call: Susannah at 724-459-4675 (you can still sign up race day, but this preregistering will help us with planning). In addition to the fun run there will also be face painting, games and other activities during/after the race...

This year will feature the addition of a Kids "fun run" and other fun activities for children. The fun run will be will be free of charge (donations are welcome), but there will be a $5.00 charge for a kids t-shirt. Prizes will be raffled off after the race as well!!! We will also have food trucks/vendors available. -
