Organiser's Description
We are excited to be hosting year 4 of a sprint triathlon in the Bryan/College Station area benefiting the local nonprofit First Win [https://first-win.org/] in honor of John C. Webb. The race will consist of a 400m swim, 14 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run at Lake Walk and in the surrounding Traditions neighborhood in Bryan, Texas. This will be a great race for both seasoned triathletes and those looking to complete their first multisport race.

We also have a relay option for those who want to compete, but do not (or feel they can not) complete all 3 events. Each member on the team of 3 must sign up individually, enter their team name, and select the event they will complete for the race.
This will be a USAT sanctioned race. As such, all participants are required to be USAT members in order to participate. Get familiar with the swim course before race day! We will offer two swim practice opportunities at Lake Walk.

FAQS:
Will I be able to wear a wetsuit for the race? - At this time we do not expect the water temperature to be low enough to permit wetsuit use. The water temperature will be communicated prior to race day.
When does the race start? - BOTH RACES start Sunday, October 11th, at 8am. We will utilize a self seeding rolling start. Athletes will enter the water off a floating pier, and entering feet first is strongly recommended.
Can I check my bike in the night before? - Transition will open the morning of the race, and there will be NO OVERNIGHT BIKE STORAGE for this event. Only participating athletes will be allowed to access the transition area.

This is the relay option for The Active Texan Triathlon. Each member will complete one of the 3 legs of the event. EACH TEAM MEMBER MUST REGISTER One member will form the team, and other team members may join during their own unique registrations
