ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

The Amanda Pair Foundation exists to overcome cancer. Were named for Amanda Pair, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and community member who courageously battled lung cancer until it took her life at the age of 40 in June 2022. We know Amanda represents millions of individuals and families who are experiencing the same pain we did throughout her journey. This fuels us every day to embody Amandas bold spirit to stand with those who are still here fighting.

ABOUT THE ALABAMA RACE SERIES

The Alabama Race Series is a collection of running events dedicated to making a lasting impact across Alabama through the power of sport. By partnering with charitable organizations throughout the state, the series brings together runners, families, volunteers, and supporters to create meaningful experiences while raising awareness and funds for causes that strengthen Alabama communities.

RACE IMPACT

Utilizing the power of community, were working to overcome cancer through our three-pronged approach of caring for families, funding research, and investing in the next generation. The majority of the proceeds from the Legacy Run will be directed to funding a memorial scholarship created in Amandas memory by the Foundation and the Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park PTO.

Amanda enthusiastically volunteered with the VHELP PTO for many years, including serving as PTO President during the 2020-2021 school year. This scholarship is awarded annually to a senior VHELP alumni at VHHS who exemplifies the rebel spirit with a servant heart. The scholarship will be available each year through 2035.

RACE DETAILS

The Legacy Run is a family-friendly 5K and 10K open to walkers and runners of all ages. Held in Liberty Park, the race will loop around the community beginning and ending at Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park.

Not up for the longer distance? We also offer a 1 mile family run and walk.

EVERYONE WHO REGISTERS BY OCTOBER 30TH WILL GET A RACE SHIRT. Parking will be available at Liberty Park Middle School. Invite your friends and join us for this morning of energy, impact, and family fun!
