Starting at 8:00 A.M. from the First Baptist Church Midland, this event is not only a fantastic way to get active but also supports a great cause.
Proceeds from the race benefit The Attic Foster Network, which provides essential resources for children in the foster care system. Last year alone, they helped over 1,600 children in the Permian Basin, and with your participation, they aim to reach even more in 2024! Registration perks include a SuperHero Run shirt for those who sign up by September 1, 2024, and awards for the top three in each age group for both the 5K and 10K. The Attic is hosting this fun run for the entire community! Dress up as your favorite SUPERHERO and help us celebrate all the heroes of our community who help with the foster crisis.
RACE BENEFICIARY:
The Attic Foster Network is an organization that helps children in the foster system every day. We provide resources including beds, car seats, clothing, diapers, and school supplies for vulnerable children and families in our community.
In the Permian Basin, almost 90% of children placed in foster care will be moved away from their home county because of a lack of foster homes. The needs are great, and The Attic is working to engage the community with the crisis. In 2023, The Attic provided services for 1633 children in the Permian Basin. We expect that number to be even greater in 2024.
RACE PERKS: All participants of the 5K who register by September 1, 2024 will receive a SuperHero Run Shirt and other goodies! _SHIRTS NOT GUARANTEED FOR REGISTRATIONS AFTER 9/1/2024._
