Join us for an exhilarating day of cycling at The Grind, taking place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the scenic Riverside State Park at the Seven Mile Airstrip in Nine Mile Falls, Spokane. This exciting gravel circuit race features a spectator-friendly 11-mile loop, with three distance options to cater to every rider's ability: the challenging Grande at 66 miles (6 laps), the spirited Medio at 44 miles (4 laps), and the fun Piccolo at 22 miles (2 laps).
Experience the thrill of open trails with minimal single track, ideal for gravel bikes, mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, and hybrids. With a start time of 8:00 am for the Grande, 9:30 am for the Medio, and 11:00 am for the Piccolo, riders can choose the distance that best fits their fitness level and enjoy a supportive atmosphere without strict categories. All participants will receive a custom pint glass, mechanical support, chip timing, and even a slice of delicious David's Pizza! Organiser's Description
A spectator-friendly gravel Circuit Race in Riverside State Park at the Seven Mile Airstrip on October 11, 2025. This is an 11-mile loop with 3 distances to choose from: Grande (66 miles/6 laps), Medio (44 miles/4 laps), and Piccolo (22 miles/2 laps). This course features 577 feet of elevation per lap, wide-open trails and very little single track; perfect for gravel bikes, mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, and hybrids. Road bikes are not recommended.
Start time: Grande 8:00am, Medio 9:30am, Piccolo 11:00am.
No categories for fitness or skill, just choose the distance that best supports your riding ability and fitness level. You'll automatically be placed in these age groups:
Juniors (13 & Under and 14-18 years), Men and Women (19-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, and 55+) Age groups may be added if registration warrants. Non-binary (one age group).
Check in will be from 7:00am - 11:00am on Saturday, October 11th.
Entry Fees: Grande $75.00, Medio $55.00, and Piccolo $35.00.
Late fees: $15.00 Late fees will apply on September 11th. Sign up early!
Entries include a custom pint glass, mechanical support from Bicycle Butler, chip timing and lightening fast results, awards for top three in each age group, a slice of David's Pizza, and more fun than a barrel of monkeys. There will be a T-Shirt option (additional $20.00) at registration.
Proceeds go to the nonprofit 501(C)(3), Riverside State Park Foundation. We help support Riverside State Park with equipment, park enhancements and educational events.
