This year, The Summer Sizzle is embracing safety with a virtual option for those who prefer to run the 5-mile distance at their own pace. To add to the festive spirit, multiple divisions for families are available, including Father/Son, Father/Daughter, and more, with special awards and prizes waiting for the winners! The first 250 registrants will receive a stylish Summer Sizzle racing singlet and a pair of trendy sunglasses to keep you looking cool while you run. The UTICA FIRST SUMMER SIZZLE is back and hotter than ever in its 38th year!
Join in on the fun and celebrate Father's Day on June 21st as the Sizzle Five Mile road race returns to Proctor Park and the MASONIC CARE COMMUNITY!
We will be following all city, state, and federal guidelines to hold a safe race for all our participants. We will also be offering a Virtual an option for runners who would prefer to do the 5 mile distance on their own. There will be no refunds or deferrals into 2027.
The Summer Sizzle has a long-standing tradition of being a family event. To celebrate Father's Day we will have multiple divisions for families to compete in for special awards and prizes.
