Everyone loves a little friendly competition, and prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the top three in each age division! THE UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SPORT SCIENCE ANNUAL THOMAS J. FRERICK'S 5K EVENT IS SET FOR 2024! ONCE AGAIN, WE WILL OFFER BOTH AN IN-PERSON AND A VIRTUAL 5K OPTION. THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON UD'S CAMPUS OVER FAMILY WEEKEND ON SATURDAY, SEPT. 21ST. THE RACE WILL BEGIN IN FRONT OF THE RECPLEX AT 10:00AM. PROCEEDS OF THE THOMAS J. FRERICKS 5K WILL BENEFIT THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SPORT SCIENCE AND PHI EPSILON KAPPA.
THE COST FOR THE IN-PERSON 5K EVENT IS $30 AND REGISTRATION FOR THE VIRTUAL 5K IS FREE WITH DONATIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED! THE IN-PERSON EVENT INCLUDES A T-SHIRT IF REGISTERED BY SEPT 1.
