Participants can register for just $5, with prices increasing as the event date approaches. All proceeds will support the IU South Bend Women's Soccer team, helping to provide properly fitted running shoes for the athletes. Organiser's Description
Join us on the campus of Indiana University South Bend for the Titan Takeoff 5k & 1mile, hosted in partnership with Fleet Feet Mishawaka and the IU South Bend Titans women's soccer. This untimed event will begin and end at the Student Activity Center (SAC), looping through campus on a fully paved course before returning to the finish line. Check-in and same-day registration will open at 4:00 PM, with the Competitive Mile beginning at 6:30 PM and the 5K starting at 7:00 PM. While the event is not officially chip-timed, the Competitive Mile will include race bibs for all participants, and photos will be taken at the finish to determine the overall winner, who will receive exclusive IU South Bend Womens Soccer merchandise. The 5K is open to all runners and walkers and will not include bibs. The event will take place rain or shine, parking is available in the large lot directly in front of the SAC, and cash payments will be accepted during the check-in window beginning at 4:00 PM. This event is non-refundable. When signing up you are welcome to run both races or just one as instructed on sign up page!
Registration is $5, with additional donations are appreciated, price will increase June 3rd to $10, June 25th to $15, and then again July 24th to $20. All proceeds and donations will directly support the IU South Bend Womens Soccer team in purchasing properly fitted running shoes for preseason training, helping promote injury prevention, athlete health, and performance. Before the race begins, participants and spectators can enjoy games, activities, and raffles creating a fun and energetic atmosphere for all ages. During packet pickup you will receive 1 raffle ticket, and 2 carnival tickets included in your race sign up. Additional tickets for both will be available at the event for purchase.
