Get ready for an exhilarating outdoor adventure at the Tofte Trek Wilderness Race, taking place on Friday, July 4, 2025, in the beautiful town of Tofte, Cook. This exciting event features a challenging 10K Wilderness Run that starts at the Birch Grove Community Center and takes participants on a scenic journey up the hill towards the Superior Hiking Trail. Runners will embrace the thrill of the course as they navigate through muddy trails, earning their "muddy badge of courage" upon finishing.
In addition to the 10K run, the event offers a variety of activities for all ages, including a free kids sprint race for ages 4-12 and a one-mile race. With overall and age-group awards up for grabs, there's a competitive spirit in the air! The 10K Wilderness Walk starts at 9:00 a.m., followed by the kids sprint at 9:05 a.m., the one-mile race at 9:20 a.m., and the main 10K Wilderness Run at 9:30 a.m. Don’t miss out – the first 200 registrants for the 10K walk/run will receive a complimentary Tofte Trek T-shirt. Organiser's Description
The 10K Tofte Trek starts at Birch Grove Community Center in Tofte and winds its way up the hill towards the Superior Hiking Trail, then comes back down through lots of mud on the snowmobile trail. Runners are proud to wear their muddy badge of courage as they finish. Must be at least 11 years old to run the Tofte Trek. Overall and age-group awards. Dogs are NOT allowed on the race course or in the Birch Grove Community Center.
