Join us for the Together We Run for Education 5K Charity Road Race on Saturday September 26, 2026, at East Hartford High School - Home of the Hornets! Hosted by the East Hartford Alumni Association and Education Foundation [https://www.ehalumnifoundation.org/], this run/walk will take place in and around the school campus and is more than just a raceits a celebration of community and commitment to our students. Every step you take helps to support our mission of awarding scholarships to deserving graduating East Hartford Public School students and alumni and funding mini grants to teachers and staff who want to offer innovative enrichment programs for students. Your participation will also support mentoring and networking programs that inspire excellence and opportunity in East Hartford Public Schools. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back. Lets run together to open more doors for our students future!

Runners will begin with an opportunity to settle into their pace on the school track before heading out onto a varied route that combines paved roads, athletic fields, sidewalks, and a shaded wooded section featuring uneven terrain and a few minor natural obstacles. This flat, loop-style 5K offers a welcoming experience for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether youre chasing a personal best, enjoying a walk with friends, or showing your support for East Hartfords schools and community, the course provides an approachable mix of surfaces and scenery while showcasing one of the towns central educational landmarks. Its a spirited community route designed to make everyone feel at home, from first-time 5K participants to seasoned racers.
1.5 MILE WALK: The 1.5-Mile Walk is a six-lap walk around the track at East Hartford High School, designed for those who may not want to commit to the full 5K but still want to participate and support our event.
