Both the 5K and 1 Mile races will feature chip timing, with split points at every mile for the 5K course, ensuring a fair and competitive atmosphere. Runners can even register for both distances, with combined times determining rankings in the combo category. Plus, enjoy live participant tracking to keep the excitement going! As a sweet finish, every participant will be treated to ice cream, Tom's favorite treat. Join us in supporting future athletes, as proceeds from the event will help fund a scholarship for a deserving senior runner from the Parma City School District. Organiser's Description
The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District.
The 5K and 1 mile events will each be chip-timed. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. You can register for both distances and your times will be combined to determine rankings for the combo category. THE 5K COURSE WILL FEATURE SPLIT POINTS AT EVERY MILE AND LIVE PARTICIPANT TRACKING VIA RTRT. All runners will be treated to ice cream at the finish line - Tom's absolute favorite food!
We hope to have dedicated divisions for middle school and high school runners. We would love to have as many scholastic athletes as possible. Coaches or athletic directors, contact us for discounted pricing.
