The Ernst Trail, known for its picturesque views, winds through the lush bottomlands of the French Creek valley, showcasing a delightful mix of meadows, marshes, hardwood stands, and hemlock thickets.
Runners will kick off the day with the 15k race starting at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5k at 7:35 AM. Participants can look forward to a fun-filled atmosphere with water stations along the course and refreshments, including snacks, waiting for them at the finish line. An awards ceremony will celebrate the top 3 male and female finishers in both the 15k and 5k categories, along with first-place winners in various age groups. Flat and fast scenic course located on the paved section of the Ernst Trail with a small portion on Mercer Pike Road. Ernst Trail follows an old rail line traversing the lush bottom lands of French Creek valley with varied environments of meadow and marsh, hardwood stands and hemlock thickets. Water provided on the course, water and snacks at the finish, Awards ceremony immediately following the race.
