Hello there Trolley Trail users. RunnersHy, Haraka Run & Walk and the Anacostia Trail Heritage Area are teaming up to offer family friendly fun runs on Trolley Trail Day, Saturday, June 13, 2026.
We will gather at Haraka Run and Walk and end at Melrose Skatepark.
Three options will be offered including a friendly 5K, a stronger 10K and last but not least a family friendly 1 mile walk/run. The goal of each is to enjoy our connected community by using the Trolley Trail. The events will end at approximately the same time for a plank challenge at Melrose Skatepark.

Trolley Trail Day 5K

This "Ray-sized" 5K is an all-paces event that will start at Haraka and end at Melrose Skatepark in Hyattsville. The course heads north on the Trolley Trail before taking a right turn on Woodberry St a loop around the Snail Trail. Return south on the Trolley Trail and end at Melrose Skatepark. -
Trolley Trail Day 10K
Sat 13th June 2026 (8:30AM EDT)

This 10K starting in Hyattsville connects runners to Riverdale, College Park and Berwyn Heights along the Trolley Trail. The course heads north on the Trolley Trail to Quebec Street in Berwyn Heights return south to Melrose Skatepark in Hyattsville near Charles Armentrout. Practice caution when crossing the major roads Queensbury and Campus Drive. -
Trolley Trail Day Family 1 Mile Walk/Run

This one mile family friendly walk/run will leave Haraka and head south on the Trolley Trail to Melrose Skatepark. Join the south end of the Hyattsville Activity Hub and meet vendors, participate in the plank (optional) and enjoy music by Hy-Fi Groove Society.
