THE TWISTED TWIG 5K IS A RUN/WALK EVENT ALONG WITH A KIDS RUN, CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COPPER CITY FITNESS. THIS EVENT IS ESPECIALLY MEANINGFUL AS 100% OF PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE ROME TWIGS, A LONGSTANDING VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION SUPPORTING ROME HEALTH IN ROME, NY.
FOUNDED IN 1907, THE ROME TWIGS INCLUDE OVER 100 MEMBERS ACROSS 11 BRANCHES AND PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN FUNDING HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT, OPERATING THE HOSPITAL GIFT SHOP, AND ORGANIZING THE ANNUAL TREE OF LIGHTS CAMPAIGN, AMONG MANY OTHER INITIATIVES. THIS 5K IS A NEW, COMMUNITY-DRIVEN FUNDRAISING EFFORT DESIGNED TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER FOR FITNESS, FUN, AND A GREAT CAUSE.
