Get ready for a fun-filled day in your favorite pajamas at the United Way of Posey County's Pajamas All Day 5K/1 Mile Walk & Kids Dash! This exciting event is set to take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the charming town of Mt. Vernon, Posey County. Kick off your morning with the 5K run and 1-mile walk starting at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Kids Dash at 9:15 a.m., where little ones aged 5 and under will dash 50 yards, and those aged 6 to 10 will race 100 yards.
Join us for a fantastic cause as we raise funds to support the Dolly Imagination Library Program, helping to provide age-appropriate books to children ages 0 to 5. Participants who register for the 5K or walk by October 17, 2025, will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag, plus the chance to win exciting attendance prizes! Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age category for the race, with trophies for the first male and female in the 1-mile walk. Join us for the United Way Posey County's Pajamas All Day 5K/1 Mile Walk & Kids Dash! Come out and participate in your favorite family friendly pajamas! This event will raise money to support the Dolly Imagination Library Program so that United Way Posey County can mail age-appropriate books each month to those 0 to 5 years of age and to support the agencies and their programs within Posey County in relation to health, financial security, and education. The event will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, with the race and walk starting at 8:00 a.m. Kid's Dash following at 9:15 a.m. The Kid's Dash will consist of 50 yards for ages 5 and under and 100 yards for ages 6 to 10. Awards will be given to top overall 3 females and top 3 males in each age category for the race and new for this year is a 1 mile walk that a trophy will be given to the first female and male.
Individuals that register for the 5K and walk by or before October 17, 2025, will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag. Come and enjoy the fun and maybe when an attendance/door prize!!!
Packet pick up on race day will be at the parking lot of The Cox Group located at 427 Locust Street in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Course map will be added when finalized!

Start at Cox Group on 5th Street.
Go Straight on 5th Street until Walnut Street.
Turn right on Walnut Street
Go all the way to E 10th Street.
Turn right onto E 10th Street.
Turn right onto Mulberry St.
Go down to 6th Street and turn left.
Go to Canal Street, turn left.
Go around the road until you get to Locust Street, turn right onto Locust St.
Go to E 10th Street, Turn right.
Turn Right onto L&N Street.
Go to E 8th Street, right left.
Go to Harriett Street, turn left.
Take the next right on E 9th Street.
Turn left into the Track.
Do two laps in the track (Youll hit Mile 2 at the start of the second Lap).
Turn left back onto E 9th Street and follow the road around the school.
Go straight onto Everett Street.
Turn right onto E 5th Street.
Finish at the Cox Group.
Individuals that register for the 5K and walk by or before October 17, 2025, will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag. Come and enjoy the fun and maybe when an attendance/door prize!!!
