Organiser's Description

Frozen Feet Challenge 2026 is here!
JANUARY 12TH - FEBRUARY 22ND

Welcome to the 2026 Frozen Feet Challenge! Lets MOVE OUTSIDE during the coldest part of the year! YOU are one of 1,000+ participants that will challenge yourselves to building a healthy habit this winter. We challenge you to achieve the FULL 6 week streak.

Beginning on JANUARY 12TH, the challenge is to walk, hike, or run one mile (or more) every day OUTSIDE for 6 weeks! To be accountable, log the miles completed on our registration site. The Frozen Feet Challenge uses the honor system, please record only daily miles completed.

It is your responsibility to log your miles on the site - we recommend either daily or weekly and not waiting until the end of the challenge. The best success rate happens logging miles immediately after your walk, hike, or run. Please note, you must manually enter your results, the site will not import or sync info from external apps or devices, but you can upload a GPX, FIT, or TCX file directly.

We encourage you to set an alarm on your phone or calendar weekly (if not daily) to record your miles so that you dont get behind.

Please note: If you are registering someone other than yourself, make sure that you input THEIR email address so they can log their miles easily, and they get updates from us.

HOW TO LOG YOUR MILES:

Head to the Frozen Feet registration page. You may need to login to your Run Sign Up account if you arent already logged in.
From there, click the results tab and follow the prompts from there.
(Remember to enter miles and not steps!)

There's no bad weather, only bad clothing choices. That being said, there may be days that are just too treacherous to get outside. In those cases, you will receive an email (or a text alert if you signed up for them) that the day is a "mulligan." Otherwise, bad weather is part of the challenge and assume it's a go! Up and Running can get you outfitted comfortably for all kinds of weather...come see us or shop online! Can I bike? What about downhill ski? Nope and nope. You cannot use wheels or gravity to get those miles in. (*note we will count cross-country skiing, because you gotta work against gravity to keep momentum!) What if I forget to log my miles? You're out. That's part of the responsibility of the challenge, too. Its part of the challenge, forget to log and you are OUT! I'm having trouble logging my miles and/or it doesn't recognize me. Make sure you are logged into RunSignUp with the email you used when you signed up. If someone else signed you up, you should be able to log miles without having to log in if you input your phone number correctly. Still having trouble? Email [email protected]] for help. Please give us 24 hours to respond. What if someone cheats? This is the honor system. You can only control yourself.
