This exciting event marks the return of one of Northeast Oklahoma's most cherished runs, combining the thrill of a 5K race with the enchanting backdrop of a hot air balloon festival. Since its debut in 2019, the Up Up and Away 5K has captivated runners and spectators alike, and after a brief hiatus in 2025, it’s back and better than ever!
Participants will enjoy a USATF certified course that winds through the stunning Hatbox Events Park, where colorful hot air balloons will launch and float overhead, creating a magical atmosphere. Runners will receive guaranteed shirts if they register by August 9th, and there will be medals for the top three finishers in each age group, along with trophies for the top overall male and female runners. Don’t miss out on refreshments served during and after the run, and be sure to register early to take advantage of the best pricing!
