This vibrant event celebrates the FGHS Cross Country team and honors its seniors in a lively atmosphere. The festivities kick off at 4:30 PM with the FGXC Ladies 3k and continue with the FGXC Men's 3k at 5:00 PM.
At 6:00 PM, young athletes can take part in the Girls Youth Mile, followed by the Boys Youth Mile at 6:15 PM. The highlight of the evening is the community races, featuring three different mile runs starting at 6:30 PM. Whether you're looking to take a leisurely stroll or sprint to the finish, there’s a race for everyone! With entry fees set at just $5 per person, this event not only promises fun and camaraderie but also supports future endeavors of the Cross Country program. Organiser's Description
Let's bring the FGHS Cross Country community together to celebrate the team and recognize our seniors one last time! Cheer on the Cross Country team at their senior night followed by an opportunity to run a mile under the lights cheered on by the athletes.
Schedule of Events:
4:30 PM: FGXC Ladies 3k
5:00 PM: FGXC Mens 3k
6:00 PM: Girls Youth Mile (8th grade and younger)
6:15 PM: Boys Youth Mile (8th grade and younger)
6:30 PM: FGHS Senior recognition
We will have 3 different community races after we have concluded a senior celebration for our high school team.
6 will be the race for anyone who thinks they may need walk breaks and might take more than 12 minutes to complete the mile.
7:15 PM: will be the race for anyone who will run the entire mile anticipating a finish time of 8:00-10:00 minutes to complete the mile.
7:30 PM: will be the race for anyone who will run the entire mile anticipating a finish time of less than 8:00 minutes to complete the mile.
Entries for Youth and Open Miles is $5 per person - payable on this site when you register. You will have the opportunity to add an additional amount at checkout if you are able to. We are hoping to make this our annual, yearly fundraiser and would love to have all the support we can. Share the link, invite your friends. Let's have some fun!
