Get ready for a fun-filled day at the inaugural Waffle Iron Youth Run on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the vibrant city of Sandusky, Ohio! This exciting event will take place along the picturesque Sandusky Bay waterfront, right in downtown Sandusky, just before the thrilling IRONMAN 70.3. Young athletes will have the chance to race in three age divisions, ensuring there's a perfect fit for every little runner. Kids aged 0-3 can join the Little Dough Ball Division with a charming .06-mile dash, while those aged 4-7 can shine bright in the Rising & Shining Division with a half-mile run. For the more experienced runners aged 8-12, the Ready to Run Division offers a one-mile challenge. All participants will receive a stylish race shirt, a shiny medal, and a delicious waffle from the local favorite, Wake Up & Waffle. The inaugural kids event in Sandusky, Ohio on the Saturday before the IRONMAN 70.3 event.
Three age divisions will toe the start line on the new Columbus Avenue for a run along the Sandusky Bay waterfront in downtown Sandusky.
0-3 Years- Little Dough Ball Division (.06 mile distance)
4-7 Years- Rising & Shining Division (1/2 mile distance)
8-12 Years- Ready to Run Division (1 mile distance)
Registration includes a race shirt, race medal and a waffle from Sandusky's Wake Up & Waffle for each participant.
