Organiser's Description

JOIN US FOR A 2-MILE WATER RELIEF WALK at WALTER HALL Park in League City, Texas, on HWY 3 at: 807 SH 3 N League City, TX 77573.

Arrive early by 8:30 am. The walk begins at the Pavillion in the park by 9:00 am following a short registration completion and instructions about the how and with a few short stories or testimonials about our intervention for the water crisis.

WHY?

This 2-hour fundraiser supports Relief Network Ministries, a public charity dedicated to providing clean water, sanitation, medical aid, job skills, and care for widows and orphans in West Africa, India, and Pakistan. Since 2001, RNM has completed over 1,785 water well projects, providing safe water to approximately 3.8 million people.

Globally, 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking waterthats 1 in 4 people. Every day, around 950 children under the age of five die from preventable waterborne illnesses such as diarrhea, cholera, and dysentery. Millions more suffer from these diseases, leading to malnutrition and long-term health challenges. Together, we can fight this crisis and provide lifesaving solutions.

Sign up now to experience the walk that millions endure daily to collect water. Bring 12 empty milk gallons to fill at the Bayou and carry backsymbolizing the burden that women and children face. Do you know that each gallon of water weighs over 8 pounds? So go easy on your children on the amount of water they carry back from the Boat Ramp at the park, but it will be fun for them.

High school students can earn community service credits, and parents, young adults, and business owners can connect and engage with us to learn more after the 2-Mile Walk experience. Volunteers are also welcome to lead groups or assist during the walk. For those that cannot attend but would like to contribute to this noble cause, TEXT "GIVE" TO 409-377-6778 and select "WATER WELL DRILLING & REHABILITATION".

Together, we can bring hope, health, and safe water to those in need. Be a Water Relief Champion and help change lives!
