Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of an rides needed from the start / end location.

We'll start registration at Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 29th, and begin to walk at 10:00 AM. The 5 mile walk should take roughly 2 hours to complete. All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration. Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Free ride share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. Please make sure to have the Uber app downloaded to your phone prior to your arrival.
