Join us for the 16th Annual Walk & Roll on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Flowood, Rankin! This exciting community event takes place on the beautiful grounds of the Methodist Specialty Care Center, located at 1 Layfair Drive, Flowood, MS. With free admission, attendees can enjoy a day filled with live music, delicious food, a petting zoo, and face painting, all while supporting the Methodist Rehab Center's Wilson Research Foundation through donations and sponsorships.
Get moving with two fantastic walking and rolling path options! Choose a short course of approximately half a mile on the Methodist campus roads and sidewalks or embark on the traditional 1.2-mile route that leads to the picturesque Mirror Lake Trail. While a small section of the trail is closed, you'll still enjoy most of the scenic views as you walk around the lake and back, so be prepared for some fun two-way traffic! Gather your friends and family, and let's come together to Walk & Roll for a great cause!

Organiser's Description
The 16th Annual Walk & Roll, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 3, HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO MAY 17. The event is held on the grounds of Methodist Specialty Care Center (1 Layfair Drive, Flowood, MS). Attendance to the event is free. Donations and sponsorships benefit Methodist Rehab Center's Wilson Research Foundation.
SCHEDULE:
9:30 a.m. Live Music as we gather in front of Methodist Specialty Care Center (1 Layfair Drive, Flowood, MS)]
10:00 a.m. Brief Announcements & we walk & roll, followed by more music, food, petting zoo and face painting!
TWO WALKING & ROLLING PATH OPTIONS
A short course option (half a mile or so) is on the Methodist campus roads and sidewalks. A longer option (1.2 miles) is the traditional course where we walk across the street to the Mirror Lake Trail. THE LAKE TRAIL IS OPEN MOST OF THE WAY BUT A SMALL SECTION IS CLOSED, SO WE CANNOT COMPLETE THE FULL LOOP. Instead, we will walk most of the way around the lake to the closure point, and return back the same way, meaning there will be two-way traffic on the trail. So please exercise caution as it will be a tight fit with two way traffic. This is why we are offering two path options.
