Join us for the 16th Annual Walk & Roll on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Flowood, Rankin! This vibrant community event will take place at the Methodist Specialty Care Center, located at 1 Layfair Drive. Attendance is completely free, making it a perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together for a day of fun, music, and support for a great cause.
The festivities kick off at 9:30 a.m. with live music from the Mississippi Swing, setting an upbeat atmosphere as we gather. At 10:00 a.m., after brief announcements, participants will embark on a half-mile loop around the beautiful Methodist Rehab campus. For those seeking a longer adventure, there's an option to continue on the Mirror Lake Trail for a scenic experience, though please note that due to ongoing construction, the full loop around the lake is not accessible. In addition to the walk, enjoy delicious food, a petting zoo, and face painting for the kids! Come out and make a difference while enjoying a day filled with community spirit and joy!

Organiser's Description
The 16th Annual Walk & Roll is Saturday, May 17 (postponed from May 3). The event will be held on the grounds of Methodist Specialty Care Center (1 Layfair Drive, Flowood, MS). Attendance is free. Donations and sponsorships benefit Methodist Rehab Center's Wilson Research Foundation.

WALK COURSE
All walkers & rollers will take the half mile loop around Methodist Rehab's campus. At the end of that loop, you have the option of continuing on the Mirror Lake Trail, but you cannot complete the full loop around the lake due to Ergon construction. Participants will be able to go three-quarters of the way around the lake before turning around and returning the same way. This means there will be two-way traffic on the Mirror Lake Trail, so some guests may wish to avoid the lake, and instead walk (or roll) our Methodist Rehab campus loop only.

CLOSEDThe Walk & Roll is a 'gentle stroll' of 1 to 2 miles. We'll walk & roll around the grounds of Methodist Specialty Care Center and outpatient clinics, and optionally some may proceed to the Mirror Lake Trail. NOTE: The lake trail is closed toward the end of the loop, so participants will have to turn around and return back the way you came. This means two-way traffic on that trail, so please exercise caution. Some guests may prefer to walk/roll ONLY around our campus and along Layfair Drive,.
