Organiser's Description
The Wildcat Extra Mile is a one-mile race for competitive runners, casual walkers, and everyone in between! There will be multiple race heats so participants can run or walk at their own pace. This year's event takes place during Spring Sing weekend! The Wildcat Extra Mile was the Championship one-mile race in the Arkansas Grand Prix series in 2024. This is a fast USATF-certified one-mile race that starts and finishes in front of Harding Academy. We encourage students, parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors to come out and go the extra mile with us Saturday morning, April 5, 2025. For elementary participants, race proceeds will be used in the classrooms to the benefit of teachers and students. In the past, these funds have been used to purchase playground equipment, bleachers, and classroom iPads. Race proceeds from high school participants will benefit various sports programs, Robotics, Theater, Chorus, and Band. Thank you for supporting Harding Academy!

The Elite Heat is a competitive heat that will include the best local runners and some fast out of town runners. Men and Women run together. We suggest you run this heat if you can run faster than 6:00 for a mile (men) or 6:30 for a mile (women). -

Heat 4 is a fun run or walk. This heat encourages new runners or walkers to participate in a race who might not be ready for a 5K. This heat is timed and those times will be factored in for awards, but if youre a competitive runner, please run in the Age Group or Elite heats. We encourage runners that have run in previous heats to accompany friends and family in this heat. -
