Join Hometown Happenings on Friday, October 25th, 2024, for the Witches in the Woods 5K/2K event in Crown Point, Lake. Embrace the spooky spirit and prove that Witches really do live in the Woods with a night time run/walk through the Fairgrounds. Don't forget to bring your flashlights or headlamps! Capture a witch with your phone along the way for a chance to win exciting prizes. The event also includes free entry into the Hometown Hocus Pocus Market where you can enjoy performances by the Sanderson Sisters of "Hocus Pocus," live music, food, craft drinks, and trick or treating. Awards will be given to the top overall and top three finishers in each age group, as well as prizes for the best costume. Strollers are welcome, and kids under 3 can join for free. Register by October 24th for $25 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under, with event day registration available for $30. Secure your event shirt for an additional $16 by October 15th. Packet pickup and registration begin at 5:15 pm on the day of the event, so don't miss

* NIGHT TIME RACE through the trees & along the roads of the Fairgrounds at night! Please bring flashlights or headlamps.
* FREE ENTRY ($5 VALUE) INTO THE HOMETOWN HOCUS POCUS MARKET - SANDERSON SISTERS OF "HOCUS POCUS" perform. Shopping, Live music, food, craft drinks, trick or treating
* AWARDS for Top Overall & Top 3 Finishers in each age group
* "BEST COSTUME" Prizes. Strollers are welcome! Kids Under 3 are free.
