While not a competitive race, participants can report their completed trails for a chance to win fantastic door prizes.
The highlight of the event is the Yooperbeiner, a spirited 5K snowshoe race and walk on groomed ski trails, included with your Winter Challenge registration. The first three men and women to cross the finish line will be awarded special Yooperbeiner medals, adding a competitive edge to the fun! After your outdoor adventure, join us at the chalet for delicious food and exciting giveaways from Aspirus. Organiser's Description
For the Wolverine Snowshoe Challenge, participants choose to snowshoe up to 6 trails at Wolverine, 10 k ski and/or one snowbike trail. This is not a race. There will be no timing. Snowshoe, ski or bike an entire trail, report the trails completed and your name will be put into a drawing for a door prize. The entire trail loop must be completed in a single day but you may complete different trails on different days. The 10 K ski may be done in parts and reported after all 10K have been completed.
The Yooperbeiner is now part of the Wolverine Winter Challenge! The Yooperbeiner is a 5K snowshoe race/walk on the groomed ski trails and is included in your Winter Challenge registration. First 3 Men and Women to cross the finish line will receive Yooperbeiner medals. Food and giveaways from Aspirus will be available in the chalet post race.
