Registration begins at 9:00 AM, with both the 5K and 1-mile events kicking off at 10:00 AM. The 5K race offers chip timing, while the 1-mile walk is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile walk, which include a T-shirt, refreshments after the race, and a special chapbook. Do you believe in second chances? We do! April is recognized as Second Chance Month for juveniles incarcerated in the justice system. You can help Writers in Residence give our youth another chance and transform the lives of justice-involved youth through creative writing and mentorship by participating in its Juvenile Justice 5K and 1-mile Walk. That's right, you don't need to break a sweat to support a great cause! Whether you run, walk, or cheer along the course, your participation creates real change.
